Art of Dying has released 8 albums, selling over 100,000 copies and amassing over 100 million streams. The band's major label debut on Reprise/Warner Bros put them on the road in every US State (less Hawaii) and put them on the map as one of Canada's stand out post grunge/rock artists. Top 10 US radio hits include "Die Trying", "Get Through This" and "Sorry".
Formed in Vancouver in the mid-2000s around the talents of Jonny Hetherington (vocals), Greg Bradley (guitar), Tavis Stanley (guitar), Cale Gontier (bass), and Jeff Brown (drums), the band released its eponymous debut in 2006 on its own label, Thorny Bleeder, resulting in critical acclaim both at home and abroad, and lead to UK/US tours with the Seether, Disturbed and Theory of a Deadman.
The group's sophomore effort (and Reprise Records debut) Vices and Virtues arrived in March of 2011 after Dan Donnegan and David Draiman of Disturbed signed the band to their imprint at Warner Bros. Draiman dubbed the band "Eagles in Chains" compairing their style to Alice in Chains meets the Eagles.
AOD spent the next few years on the road, eventually heading back into the studio with producer David Bendeth (Bring Me the Horizon, Breaking Benjamin) to record the album "Rise Up" (2015 Better Noise)
The "Nevermore" EP (2016), "Armageddon" LP (2019), "Demos and Rarities" (2020) and "Ready For A Good Time" EP (2022) followed.
