Bryan Elijah Smith is an international award winning singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist producer based out of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Smith has penned over 2,000 songs and independently released 12 albums since 2009, solidifying his place as a self-produced & prolific artist. The music created has been compared to the likes of Johnny Cash, J.J. Cale, Bruce Springsteen, Colter Wall, and Gregory Alan Isakov. In March 2024, Smith performed two SOLD-OUT shows internationally in São Paulo, Brazil at 'The S.' and also made an appearance on Energia 97 FM, one of Brazil's premier radio stations. Smith has also toured in Australia & Honduras. Smith is a two-time winner of the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at MerleFest where the title track to his album, ‘In Through The Dark’, was 1 of 12 songs chosen out of 1,000 national entries (past finalist include Gillian Welch & Lera Lynn). 'In Through The Dark' won 1st place in the Unsigned Only 2019 international songwriting contest where there were 6,000 entries from over 100 countries. ‘In Through The Dark’ also appears in the hit NETFLIX series 'Virgin River'. Subsequently the song was a 2020 Independent Music Awards nominee in the 'Used In Film/TV' category and in 2024 was featured on SIRIUSXM’s ‘The Village’. Smith’s single 'Colt 45' features Brad Barr from The Barr Brothers on slide guitar. 2025 single ‘Bad News' is featured on Spotify's Blues Roots Editorial Playlist ,
