Ilira is a UK based Singer/Songwriter. She grew up in Switzerland from Kosovo Albanian roots. Coming from a quiet and isolated village in near Bern surrounded by cows and hens sounds, she had no contacts to the music industry or many other musicians at all. She started approaching music buying a hip hop beat online, adding Indian falk samples and writing a pop song over it. Shortly after Ilira was discovered on SoundCloud by a renowned German poet and rapper, leading her to move to Berlin for almost 10 years where she met her creative and commercial success, also signing her first publishing deal. In the meanwhile she finds London as her new nesting ground where she spends most of her time songwriting and gardening.
Being an incredibly prolific writer she has written each and everyone of her songs while also selling them to DJs and EDM artists, where she often features with. Her true heart though will always be alternative pop rock. Now Ilira shows her authentic side and devotes herself to her true identity and her heartfelt sound completely disconnected to the mainstream success and expectations. Ilira first EP titled "Never Really the End" will be out in 2023, featuring intimate and personal topics from her turbulent and chaotic life. Intercultural problems, identity issues, loneliness, lovesickness, sensitivity, life as a woman in the music business, all this offers fertile ground for all the songs that have remained unheard until now.
