Formed in 2020, Jemala is a folk music duo project based in Jakarta, Indonesia with sound explorations influenced by artists like Sufjan Stevens, Novo Amor , Pinegrove, The Trees and The Wild, Bin Idris and The Middle East. In 2021, Jemala which consists of Theo Cahya and Riady (Anak Utara) managed to bedroom produced 2 EPs: ’St. Germain’ and 'Casement' to showcase their existence into the world.
