The Brooklyn-born artist Justine Skye got an early start in the music industry being signed to her first label at just 17 years old. After racking up hundreds of millions of streams early in her career, Skye went independent in 2019 in order to focus on fully forming her artistic identity, a process of discovery that ultimately led her to working with Timbaland after they met via Instagram and immediately developed rapport during the pandemic's period of heightened virtual connection.
