Laleilmanino

We are laleilmanino. Though you might recognize us from our respective bands (Lale and Ilman with Maliq & D’Essentials, Nino as the N in RAN), we are not a group that you will find performing music on any stage. But you will find us in the studio, because Laleilmanino is a songwriting alliance with the goal of making pop out of everything. One of our role models is The Smeezingtons, the songwriting team in which Bruno Mars is part of and has created hits for Cee-Lo, Travie McCoy and Mars himself.

Our songwriting alliance grew out of a random chat when we attended a party in Bali that coincided with Yovie Widianto’s birthday in 2013. Our admiration of Mas Yovie as a songwriter inspired us to pool our resources in order to overcome each individual’s limitations and offer our services to any artist interested in our brand of pop music. We listen to metal, reggae and everything in between, and try to channel that into making pop music that blends Lale and Ilman’s sophisticated chords with Nino’s simplified, singable melodies and lyrics.
