A singer and songwriter with a mellow vocal style and insightful lyrics regarding day-to-day life, ODIE defies simple classification with inspirations including Fela Kuti, Coldplay, and Kid Cudi. Born in Montreal to Nigerian parents and later moving to Toronto and the Bay Area, ODIE's musical journey officially began after playing the piano as a child then later writing songs in his bedroom as a teenager.
He made his full-length debut in 2018 with Analogue, featuring "Little Lies" and "North Face.' The 10-track LP, anchored by ODIE's smooth, ethereal alto, is an impressive introduction to an artist whose inspiration for creating fresh sounds knows no end. For ODIE, the album was his version of a coming-of-age story. Since then he has released a handful of singles including 2020's "Miss Summer" and 2023's "Go Boy". Now, ODIE is gearing to release his new EP, N.F.A. Demos. For the project, ODIE found solace in staying present, expressing his wide-ranging emotions and finding new ways to further experiment with his sound.
