Filipino indie-pop rising artist rhodessa has been making waves as she channels alternative flavored pop on her previously self-produced singles — all the way to her label debut titled “Kisame.” Of course, her talent in singing and songwriting makes it more evident as she rose on different Spotify editorial playlists as she peaked at #1 on Spotify Viral 50 PH, peaked at #6 on Spotify Top 50 PH, and has been a hit ever since. Her single “Kisame” surely made a mark as it also won as the ‘Wish Ballad Song of the Year’ at the Wish Music Awards 2024 and currently has more than 149 million streams on Spotify alone.
More of rhodessa can certainly be seen as she releases more of her music with “Mina(mahal ko),” a collab track with mrld in “sa’yong sa’yo lang ako,” and “pagod na (sayo).”
As she welcomes her first-ever EP “(untitled),” it is a quirky, no-holds-barred dive into the messiness of love and relationships.
