23-year-old StaySolidRocky made one of 2020’s breakthrough hits with “Party Girl.” Soaring passed 1 Billion combined streams and peaking at #16 in the Billboard Top 100, the self-funded video single is the result of the Richmond, Virginia-based rapper putting it all on the line for his dream. Evidenced in six-figure-streaming singles “Toxic” and “Soft Aggression,” his style is dynamic and unpredictable. “I don’t use a standard flow or try to recreate whatever I did on my last song,” he notes. “I make things that will sound good to the ear, and I always take pride in my lyrics.” Having used a combination of talent, social media, and the belief in himself, StaySolidRocky already sees the outcome of his art—and the party has just begun.
