Tano, a Trinidadian-born producer and songwriter, has made significant waves in the global music landscape, earning his stripes as an in-demand collaborator among some of the music industry’s biggest names. With his distinctive blend of Caribbean sounds intertwined with global urban influences, Tano’s music transcends geographical and cultural boundaries, appealing to a diverse array of audiences.

Starting his career with a notable collaboration on the 2016 track “No One” with fellow Trinidadian singer Kalpee, Tano quickly gained attention. This single landed a global distribution deal with Sony Music, setting the stage for his future successes. His trajectory continued upward in 2017 when he began his collaborations with Soca superstar Kes, co-producing and co-writing the hit single “Close to Me,” featuring dancehall artist Shenseea. This track further cemented his reputation as a talented producer capable of crafting compelling, catchy tunes that resonate with listeners globally.

2018 marked another milestone year for Tano as he co-produced “Remember the Days,” the second single from artist Jimmy October. The song caught the attention of Grammy-nominated reggae star Protoje and was subsequently released through his label, Indiggnation. This exposure served to further boost Tano's profile in the reggae and dancehall scenes.

Tano's knack for creating hit collaborations was once again on display in 2020 when he teamed up with Jamaican super producer Rvssian and Trinidadian producer M.R.I to co-produce Nigerian singer Rema’s hit single “Beamer.” This track achieved widespread popularity and reached number one on Apple Music Nigeria shortly after its release, earning accolades from Nigerian superstar Davido. The song also gained an international footprint by being featured on the FIFA 2021 official soundtrack, alongside other prominent acts like Dua Lipa and Burna Boy.

In 2021, Tano showcased his versatility by producing the single “Gud Gud,” which featured Trinidad’s rising star Hey Choppi and Soca legend Machel Montano. This was followed by another successful production for the dancehall artist Shenseea’s track “Be Good.”

2022 was another banner year for Tano with the production of a song on Colombian superstar Blessd's album, which debuted at number 8 on Spotify’s top global albums chart. His most popular track, “Jub Jub” released in the same year, further established his prowess, accumulating over 3.1 million streams on Spotify and contributing to his total of more than 5.5 million streams on the platform.

Tano’s latest project, "High Street Riddim," showcases his continuing influence in the Caribbean music scene, featuring prominent artists such as Kes and Patrice Roberts. This compilation not only highlights Tano's skill in production and songwriting but also underlines his commitment to promoting Caribbean music on an international scale.

Through his collaborations, productions, and innovative approach to music, Tano is not just a producer but a pivotal figure championing the rich, rhythmic sounds of the Caribbean on the global stage. His work not only celebrates Caribbean heritage but also molds it into contemporary forms, engaging a new generation of listeners and ensuring the music's place in a rapidly changing musical landscape.
