Tony Dayimane

Sbongakonke Mfundo Mchunu known as Tony Dayimane is a 20 year old platinum selling-artist, songwriter and performer.
Born in Durban, Umlazi yet spent most of his teenage years in boarding school in Pietermaritzburg.

The love for making music sprung in primary school, he wrote a poem and read it to his classmate and received good reception from his teacher and fellow classmates.

He started recording at the age of 15 greatly inspired by Okmalumkoolkat, Sjava , Young Thug Beautiful Thugger Girls mixtape and a local duo, uMhlonishwa no Ma Ice from his hometown. He started building a fanbase from that day onwards in both Durban and Pietermaritzburg but has grown to become one of the country’s most promising creatives and his artistry is celebrated beyond the borders of South Ahh.

Tony Dayimane is often described as an astonishing musician and songwriter mainly known for his superb pen game and cadence on different genres in multiple languages, his ear splitting voice, catchy hooks, singing on songs such as Lonke proves his versatility and marks him as one of the next Alphas Mzansi has to offer or should i say part of the Big 3?

with the release of his debut platinum selling Big Boy EP & debut album RED OCTOBER: INDUCTION he is proving to be highly influential amongst the youth which has led to millions of streams and him receiving countless co signs by the industries’ biggest stars, the likes of Sjava and Big Zulu just to name a few..
